Tokyo Temple and Home Coming

The Tokyo Temple is located on a small piece of land between many buildings so it is hard to get a picture.

We were so happy to see everyone again, 18 months is too long
to be away from our grandchildren.  But it was worth it to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

It was not an usual site to see a mother or father
on a bicycle with one or more children
in Taiwan or Hong Kong.

was on their phones, and were not talking to one another.

Good Bye Taipei Temple Mission November 2013

It was very hard to say good-bye to President and Sister He and the Second Counselor and his wife, James and Kathy Yu

This is our friend who sold fruit to us, and was just around the corner from where we lived. We walked by him every day for 18 months and when he was not busy we would stop and talk and buy fruit. We introduced the missionaries to him and his wife, but they were afraid of the missionaries. He spoke a little English and we wanted to stop one last time and say good-bye.

Across from our friend who sold fruit was the Chinese game players who played almost every night

This is our Landlords, Wendy and Herman Huang, and their son, Hugo.  They took us to a very nice restaurant to say good-bye.
